Leave the city of Rome and drive along the highway, interspersed with locations of scenic beauty. A drive of approximately 4 hrs, and you arrive at Tuscany, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. The most famous towns are Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Monteriggioni and Pisa.
Each one of them is worth a visit.
Florence is famed as the birthplace of the Renaissance. It is home to the Duomo, the Accademia containing the David by Michelangelo, and the Uffizi Gallery, which houses numerous works of the most famous Renaissance painters of the Renaissance.
Siena, with its typical medieval character and Gothic buildings, is the only town where a horse race, The Palio, is held, right in the town center during the summer.
Monteriggioni, Montepulciano, and San Gimignano are famous Tuscan hill towns, each known for distinct medieval and Renaissance charms.
Tuscan cuisine is also a highly renowned factor.

A drive from Rome to Umbria takes you through the scenic beauty of the Lazio region, enjoying the countryside before reaching the Umbrian border. Pass through the historic towns of Orvieto, Terni, Todi, Spoleto, and Assisi and arrive at Perugia, the regional capital of Umbria, rich in history, art, and natural beauty.
Perugia, a historical town with a rich tradition of art, is home to the Language University for foreigners. Students from all over the world enrol to study the Italian language and culture.
Orvieto, built by the Etruscans in the 9th to 8th Century B.C., is a graceful town standing on top of a tufa plateau and dominating the area around it. The Duomo and the well of St.Patrick are two of the famous sights.
Assisi, famous for the Basilica of San Francesco d'Assisi (St. Francis)
Umbria is also famous for its cuisine and wine, and if you wish, we can combine the tour with a lunch in one of the numerous trattorias.

A drive from Rome to Pompeii primarily uses Italy's main north-south highway, heading towards Naples, through Lazio and into the Campania region.
Pompeii, the small hill-town constructed along the fertile slopes of the volcano Vesuvius, and devoured by tons of boiling lava in the year 79 A.D. The ruins of Pompeii can be visited and bear evidence of an advanced civilization, lost forever.
The view along the winding cliff roads of the Amalfi Coast is breathtaking. The little villages, which seem ready to slip into the crystal sea below, contribute to the spectacular panorama.
Sorrento clings to the dramatic cliffs above the bay of Naples, its narrow streets hum with cafes, history, unique boutiques, and timeless coastal charm.

Driving from Rome to the Castelli Romani means heading southeast into volcanic hills, approximately an hour from Rome. The tour includes visiting towns like Frascati, famous for wine, and Castel Gandolfo, summer residence of the Pope, Grottaferrata, home to an ancient abbey, with sights of lush greenery, ancient craters, beautiful lakes (Albano, Nemi), and historic villas, offering a transition from city buzz to serene countryside with historical sites.

Tivoli, is a small town, an hour's drive from Rome, often called Tivoli Gardens. It is compared to the Gardens of Babylon, with fountain-decorated terraced gardens. It was the summer resort of the Emperors and Bishops. The Villa Adriana is an example of the former, while Villa D’Este is an example of the latter. These two are now UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Approximately an hour's drive south-west of Rome lies Ostia Antica, the ancient harbour town at the mouth of the river Tiber. It is now a large archaeological site. Although partly ruined, you will still find ancient buildings and magnificent frescoes in a state of excellent preservation. In the springtime, a walk under the splendid cypress trees is a welcome change from the chaos of the city.
